N Chandrababu Naidu presented a cheque for Rs 50 lakh to Sindhu's coach Pullela Gopichand and Rs 25 lakh to badminton player Kidambi Srikanth, who also competed in Rio Olympics. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu handed over a cheque for Rs three crore to Olympic silver medal-winning shuttler P V Sindhu. He also presented a cheque for Rs 50 lakh to Sindhu's coach Pullela Gopichand and Rs 25 lakh to badminton player Kidambi Srikanth, who also competed in Rio Olympics. The cheques were presented at the grand finale of the Krishna Pushkaram at Pavitra Sangamam at Ferry village near Vijayawada. On August 20, the state Cabinet also decided to reward Gopichand with Rs 50 lakh for propelling Sindhu to Olympic glory.
