At least ten people were killed and 20 injured after a bus travelling from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad fell into a river near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh early today. The accident took place on National Highway 65 in Krishna district. All the injured have been shifted to Nandigama Government Hospital. According to reports, the bus, which had to cover nearly 1000 km, made a stop in Vijaywada where a new driver took the steering wheel. Eye witnesses said rescuers had to use gas cutters to pull out people from the mangled coach.
