Andaya lacks common sense in allegations vs Diokno, says PalaceMANILA, Philippines — The claim of House Majority Leader Rolando Andaya Jr. that there have been "insertions" in the 2019 budget lack common sense, Malacañang implied Tuesday. On the DBM's failure to attempt salary increase for 2019, presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo read Diokno's statement in a Malacañang briefing. "Mukhang kulang din siya sa common sense kung babasahin ko itong sagot ni Secretary Diokno (It looks like he also lacks common sense if you read the answer of Secretary Diokno)," Panelo said. Asked to clarify who he refers to as the one who lacks common sense, Panelo said: "Eh Andaya mo naman," making a pun of the House majority leader's surname. One reporter asked again if he was referring to Andaya and Panelo said he agrees that the lawmaker's accusations lack common sense.
