Simply put, opponents relished the opportunity to face the Canadiens’ fourth line, and with good reason. But since Kenny Agostino and more notably centre Michael Chaput’s arrival from the AHL’s Laval Rocket, the fourth line has started to gain life. The Canadiens’ fourth line went from a black hole of possession to a line that can actually control the shots on most nights. Canadiens head coach Claude Julien no longer has to overtax his high-skill players to shelter his fourth line. While Armia was playing with Kotkaniemi, the two enjoyed the lion’s share of the shots, scoring chances and high-danger shots.
