AGC Studios will finance and co-produce the psychological thriller Sweat starring Ana de Armas for director J Blakeson and will commence sales talks at the EFM in Berlin next month. AGC International represents sales rights outside the US, with WME Independent, CAA Media Finance and AGC jointly representing US rights. De Armas will portray ambitious fitness influencer Emma Kent, who dreams of matching the success of her idol, social media superstar Kat Highbrook. Cuban-born de Armas earned multiple nominations including Oscar and Bafta for playing Marilyn Monroe in Andrew Dominik’s 2022 Venice selection Blonde. English director Blakeson’s credits include I Care A Lot, The Disappearance Of Alice Creed, and The 5th Wave.
