In August 2021, an earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale was felt in the Dehradun region. The earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale was reported from Haridwar district at 9:41 am. On December 8, 2019, Joshimath was hit by an earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale. 12 November 2019: An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was felt in Pithuragarh district.
