By Chris Trotter*The revocation of Row v Wade, like the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, is an act of national self-harm. American conservatives were both astounded and outraged by the emergence of a liberal Supreme Court. An equally reactionary Supreme Court struck down much of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “New Deal” in the 1930s. In the eyes of conservative Americans, the liberal Supreme Court of the past 70 years has been a dangerously aberrant entity. The revocation of Roe v Wade may only be the beginning.
