MIT Solve inducts solvers annually to tackle global challenges ranging from early childhood development, brain health to sustainable communities. Each year global challenges are introduced for that which solvers propose new technological solutions to compete for about $1 million in prize funding. The products are Concrete Oyster Reef Restoration Tile (COORT), Concrete Oyster Reef Restoration Disc (COORD) & CaCo 3 concrete. The reef restoration tile & the reef disc provides nourishment to the oyster habitat and resembles reef shape, chemical formula and surface. For any interested Solvers, challenges are open for submission until July 1st for the 2019 class of cohorts.
