A small penguin that happened to reach the New Zealand coast this week has been returned to the wild. The penguins, which the locals called “Pingu,” were found walking on the beach more than 1,800 miles from their Antarctic homes. This is the third time that an Adelie penguin has been discovered in the country. This beautiful Adelie penguin has been from Antarctica all the time, he was rescued by the Penguins Rescue Team. According to the Department of Conservation of New Zealand, it is rarely found far from the Antarctic coast and sea ice.
