Tunji Bosun, AbeokutaThe Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has said that the state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, deserves to be pitied by the people of the state. The party said the call to pity Amosun was due to his recent comments that his favoured governorship candidate, Abdulkabir Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement, would defeat his APC counterpart, Dapo Abiodun. The governor was reported by some newspapers (The PUNCH not included) to have said this during the crossover fanfare on Monday at Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta. “For an individual to attempt to play God, and assault the collective intelligence of the well- informed people of Ogun State by telling them who the next governor of Ogun State will be, as if he has already written the results, show that such a person deserves our pity. “We don’t need to exchange words with him, but, to actually sympathise with him on his present state of paranoia.
