The SC has stated that only BCCI CEO Rahul Johri is authorised to take care of day-to-day work of the board in consultation with the four-member committee. The Supreme Court-appointed committee of administrators was forced to swing into action on Monday after Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) former joint secretary Amitabh Choudhary tried to barge into the senior selection committee meeting in the Capital. As a result of Amitabh's action, the selection meeting was delayed for over two hours before Vinod Rai-led administrative panel categorically told Johri that "Choudhary is not allowed inside the meeting room". The panel instructed Johri to convene the selection meeting via video conferencing from Mumbai. Choudhary reached hotel early and emphasised on convening the selection meeting as "eligible BCCI official".
