As Reliance Entertainment launches romantic comedy Running Shaadi on 700 screens in India and in the U.S. and 14 other markets today, no one is counting on the film to succeed more than Arsh Bajwa. The actor who hails from a rice and wheat farming family in a small town in the Punjab made his debut in writer-director Amit Roy’s film alongside Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu. “ Working with Amit and Taapsee, I was really motivated and inspired ,” he told me. Bajwa is his best friend, teenager Cyberjeet, a geek who worships Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. To fully inhabit the character Bajwa added 17kg to his 62kg frame, grew a beard and had only one bath during the 45-day shoot.
