A state BJP leader later said it was a strategic move to weave the plight of the migrants into the party’s anti-Mamata narrative. Shah criticised Mamata for not implementing two central schemes — the Ayushman Bharat and the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi — in the state.
