Amid fears that the Indian professionals may have a tough time during the presidency of Donald Trump, a Delhi boy, studying in IIT-Kanpur has received a job offer of nearly Rs 1.5 crore per annum from Microsoft. This is the highest ever salary offer to a student of IIT-K, sources at the premier institute told TOI. Last year, the highest base pay offered to a student at IIT-K was Rs 93 lakh. iitk.ac.inElated after getting the offer, the student, who requested anonymity, broke the news first to his wing mates. Sources said IIT-K has nearly 200 companies listed for placements this year compared to around 280 which flocked the campus last year.
