UNICEF and WHO report that the suspension of immunization campaigns and health services has created a child health crisis, particularly in conflict-affected areas. Since the health service needs emergency response, there is a critical need for emergency health services, such as setting up mobile clinics and establishing satellite healthcare services to reach the affected populations. The destruction of over 4,000 schools in the Amhara region has further marginalized students, increasing their vulnerability to exploitation and violence. The Amhara Society Network continues to appeal to international humanitarian organizations for urgent, coordinated intervention to assist those suffering due to the war waged by Abiy Ahmed’s government on the Amhara region.
