It is not known whether Oracle, skippered by Jimmy Spithill, suffered any damage to their 50-ft catamaran in the incident. The near-miss comes just days after Artemis suffered serious damage to one of their test boats, after dropping their wing during testing. The Swedish challenger were back out on the water yesterday, lining up against Oracle on the first day of the second practice racing window. There were reports Artemis picked up further damage yesterday, with the practice session cut short after debris was seen flying off the boat.
