Tobruk Medical Centre announced on Monday that a team of American doctors and surgeons have performed 18 successful paediatric heart surgeries in the centre, so far. "The team conducted an open heart surgery to a six-year-old girl from the city of Murzuk, who was suffering from a ventricular septal defect," the centre clarified on Facebook. The American heart surgery team performed their first operation at Tobruk Medical Centre for a two-year-old child in November last year.
