ASCOT, England (AP) " American mare Tepin won the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday in her first race in Europe. Tepin won the Breeders' Cup Mile last year, and Casse said he is planning to take her back there in November. Trained by Mark Casse and ridden by Julien Leparoux, the 5-year-old Tepin won by a half-length at odds of 11-2 in front of Queen Elizabeth II. There were some doubts over Tepin's ability to win on soft ground, and she was running without her usual nasal strip. Casse said "there were a lot of things stacked against today but in the end her greatness prevailed.
