Even at the World Economic Forum, when asked about how many multibillion dollar firms were operating in Africa, participants were just a slightly optimistic. However, there are four hundred multibillion dollar companies operating in Africa, and they are both fast growing and and more profitable than their global peers. Even more telling is the hard to believe fact that before TODAY NEWS AFRICA, Africa’s leading business newspaper in Washington D.C. was established in the American capital in December 2017, there was virtually no premium and respected business newspaper in Washington owned by an African. And it is only now that several American companies have started building trust in the newspaper which focuses mainly on business, investment and opportunities in Africa. This article will be followed by many others that will showcase the opportunities and the diverse business environment in Africa.
