American University Students Visit University of Liberia Main Campus


Monrovia – America students visiting the main campus of the University of Liberia on Capitol Hill for the first time were delighted to see the monument of former President Williams V. S. Tubman, the longest-serving President of the Republic of Liberia. The students who were led into the main campus by a student activist Martin K.N. Kollie, had a short meeting with the President of the University of Liberia Students Union (ULSU) Flomo Maiwo before passing through the Firestone Quadrant (FQ) Building to get to the University Park where the monument of the late President is well placed. Comparing America to Liberia, Windley says like Liberia, America is faced with the same economy and education issues but adds that the situation in Liberia is huge. Also, the President of the University of Liberia Students Union (ULSU) Maiwo praised the students for visiting the University of Liberia and mainly the students’ leadership.
