Four trees from former president George W Bush’s ranch will be part of a West Texas memorial to the Navy Seal and American Sniper author Chris Kyle. Related: American Sniper: an old-fashioned western in military uniformThe Odessa American reports crews worked on Thursday to replant the live oaks in Odessa, where Kyle was born. “There’s a lot of hidden symbolism behind the other elements that are going to be in the plaza,” Cook told the Odessa American. Bradley Cooper played Kyle in American Sniper, the controversial but hugely successful Clint Eastwood-directed adaptation of Kyle’s memoir of his time with the US army in Iraq. The trees, costing more than $3,000 each, were purchased from Bush’s ranch near Crawford.
