American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis says in his new book he's tired of hearing liberals complain about Donald Trump winning the 2016 election because he believe it was the naiveté of the Left that put him in the position to lead the country. The 55-year-old Californian writes in his new book White, contrary to what was being reported in the run up to the 2016 election, Trump was actually more insulting of people who, like him, are white and male. Calling Trump the 'poster-boy antithesis of the proud moral superiority' and claiming Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama were depicted as people to be taken more seriously, Ellis believes this helped Trump become the unsuspecting winner. Ellis writes the Left 'had turned into haters' and the mainstream media encouraged them to a point where they 'came across as anti-common-sense, anti-rational and anti-American'. Ellis claimed Michelle Obama (with former POTUS Barack in 2017) was praised too much
