The American Music Awards are finally here, and it’s a big year for Canadians. With nominees from the Great White North in nearly every category, we may as well call them the Canadian Music Awards. Drake earned a record-breaking 13 nominations, the most for any artist in a single year since Michael Jackson had 11 in 1984. Fellow Canadians Justin Bieber, the Weeknd, Alessia Cara and Shawn Mendes are also up for a few statues.
