Argentine forward Silvio Romero saved the day for America, scoring a late goal to give his team a 1-1 tie with Atlas in Mexican League Apertura 2016 tournament action. Atlas got on the scoreboard first when Mexican striker Edson Rivera scored a goal five minutes before the half. America kept fighting and Romero finally nailed a goal in the 84th minute at Jalisco Stadium. In other action on Saturday, Guadalajara and Leon played to a 1-1 tie. On Sunday, the UNAM Pumas will take on Morelia, while Santos Laguna will play Pachuca.
