NewsThe Local government election (Amendment) Bill was passed in the Parliament today with the majority of 120 votes suopportive of it while no votes againt it. Some 44 Parliamentarians from opposition abstained from voting. The Bill which was read second time today consisted of 27 amendments including proposals to have a mixed system incorporating both the proportionate and electoral systems.
