(File photo)An ambulance was taking two patients to Christchurch Hospital when it collided with a car in Mid Canterbury. Two patients and a Canterbury District Health Board nurse escort were travelling with the ambulance crew at the time. "An ambulance responded and assessed all those at the scene and transported the original two patients onto Christchurch Hospital." He said St John was supporting its staff and had done a further welfare check on the patients and nurse at Christchurch Hospital.
