Oladimeji RamonThe Methodist Church of Nigeria, Metropolitan Diocese of Ikeja, has called on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to consider a downward review of the new Land Use Charge. According to the church, the state needed to reduce the Land Use Charge because the increase will have negative impact on the citizens. The church made this appeal in a communiqué at the end of its 2nd Annual Synod held between April 12 and 15, 2018, at Elliot Memorial Methodist Church, Iju, Lagos. “Synod also notes that power supply is still epileptic, a situation that, if substantially improved upon, will also catalyse our economic recovery. The church lauded President Muhammadu Buhari on the war against insurgency, particularly the rescue of the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls.
