At day 11 of the hearing today, the court heard a witness statement given by Heard about her time in Australia with Depp in 2015. She began: "The best way I can describe what happened in Australia is that it was like a three-day hostage situation. Eleanor Laws QC, representing Depp, said Heard phoned her sister after the alleged incident and said she wanted to come home. Heard said Depp promised her he would 'get clean and sober for once' after the incident.
