NintendoYou may have preordered a Nintendo Switch from Amazon months ago to ensure you'd have your console on day one, but apparently "guaranteed release date delivery" doesn't mean exactly that. Anecdotally, I can say that Amazon doesn't seem to have much of an idea of what's going on with my console. Social media doesn't seem to have trouble with any other retailers, however, and Forbes' Paul Tassi says his Gamestop preorder arrived right on time. In the meantime, I and other Amazon customers will continue to wait. Amazon built its reputation on reliable shipping that, to borrow a term, "just works."
