But earlier this month the Belfast man was able to get up close and personal with a humpback whale off the Mayo coast, resulting in some spectacular pictures. “To see a Humpback whale so close is humbling. “I got very lucky and the next day I got the opportunity to get out on a boat with two members of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, Brendan Quinn and Marcus Hogan.
