The acting editor of the now defunct newspaper went to the court in the morning for bail in the case started by Kushtia BCL President Yasir Arafat Tushar last year. He could not leave the court of Kushtia Chief Judicial Magistrate MM Morshed after securing bail as BCL leaders and activists ggathered outside. He was seen leaving the court premises in a bloodied state with police help after around four and a half hours of confinement. Some unidentified attackers vandalised the car and Mahmudur was wounded by broken glasses, claimed court police Inspector Md Moniruzzman. Police escorted him out of the court premises safely, he added.
