The victim, a 25-year year old woman, had a narrow escape, when the driver of the rickshaw she was travelling in, claimed to be a serial rapist and killer. The woman was pushed out of the auto, but not before the accused snatched her purse. The woman's horror story began when she boarded the auto outside UB City in the heart of Bengaluru, around 7.15 pm. The woman noticed that the meter was not working, but the driver assured her that he would charge Rs 100. “He then snatched her purse and pushed her out of the auto before driving off in the dark," the report said.
