(Reuters) - Always Dreaming won the 143rd Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs over a sloppy track in Louisville on Saturday, giving jockey John Velazquez and trainer Todd Pletcher their second career wins in the 'Run for the Roses'. Pletcher and Velazquez, record money winners among trainers and jockeys, added a long-awaited second Derby triumph to their respective resumes. "We've run a lot of horses in it, and some of them may not have run so well," said Pletcher. "But in 17 years we have two wins, two seconds and three thirds so it's become a little more respectable now." Another of Pletcher's three entries in the race won some surprise backing of the punters.
