They held a new Olympic skiing event on an Olympic course with Olympic medals at stake in front of a loud, rowdy Olympic crowd Saturday. In all, 15 of the 23 athletes who won individual medals in the sport over the past two weeks skipped the Winter Games debut of the Alpine team event.
