Almost half of Scots believe that Nicola Sturgeon utilised the Covid pandemic for her own political gain, according to a damning new poll. The survey results came out just a week after the former first minister gave evidence at the UK Covid Inquiry and admitted wiping her WhatsApp messages and informal communications. She also faced accusations that she made decisions to be different from Westminster and used it to further the case for independence. It followed the evidence at the probe which had senior civil servants telling officials to delete messages to avoid FOI legislation. He then vowed to fix this for the Scottish public.
