BUKIT GANTANG: A total of 76 summonses were issued to lorry and bus drivers for various offences during Óps Bersepadu’ at Kilometre 225 at a lay-by (southbound) last night. “Tyres used by commercial vehicles if tanned on the road could lead to accidents especially at night,”he said at a media conference after Óps Bersepadu at the Bukit Gantang lay-by, here. He said the AADK detained two lorry drivers aged 25 and 35 for driving under the influence of drugs. He advised lorry drivers and operators to ensure that the safety levels and condition of the commercial vehicles were good.
