Allison Mack, the actress known for her role in the television series “Smallville,” has been released from federal prison after serving two years of her three-year sentence. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that Ms. Mack was released on Monday from a prison in Dublin, Calif. According to a report by Nytimes.com, Ms. Mack used her status as a popular actress to recruit women into Nxivm and groom them as sexual partners for Raniere. During her sentencing in a Brooklyn court in 2021, a federal judge described Ms. Mack as an essential accomplice to Raniere. In a letter addressed to those affected by her actions, Ms. Mack expressed remorse for her decisions and acknowledged the shame she felt.
