A 12-inch alligator was reportedly spotted at lake in Connecticut on the same day that a similar reptile was caught in Chicago. The East Lyme Public Safety department shared a post on Facebook that the gator was spotted in the Power Lake in East Lyme on Monday. 'CT DEEP [Department of Energy and Environmental Protection] is investigating the report of an alligator sighting in Powers Lake in East Lyme. A representative with the Town of East Lyme told DailyMail.com on Wednesday that they did not find the alligator when searching. News of this alligator comes after the now infamous gator - Chance the Snapper - was apprehended on Tuesday in Chicago.
