Police say they have identified all "relevant parties involved" in an alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old schoolgirl in Christchurch. Police were called after the teenager told Christchurch Hospital staff she was assaulted in North Hagley Park sometime between 3.30pm and 8.25pm on Wednesday. The alleged offender is described as a very tall male, part-Maori, of medium build and with tattoos on both arms. Police said on Thursday afternoon they believed it was "an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public."
