Melville woman Sonali Ananta Deo, 23, appeared in the Hamilton District Court on Thursday morning on a single charge of assaulting Piri Hemi between June 9 and June 11. Concerned about Hemi, they left a hidden camera set up in his room in the rest home, which captured the alleged incident. Since news of the situation broke, the Hemi family had been inundated with offers of help and support with respite care, son Allan Hemi said on Wednesday.
