An accused of a rape case has been killed in a “gunfight” with Rapid Action Battalion in New Fisher Ghat area in Cox’s Bazar. The deceased is Mohammad Selim, 22, son of Mohammad Yunus of Mogchitapara. He was accused of raping a three-year-old girl on August 23. In retaliation, RAB fired back that left Selim dead. The RAB official said two firearms were recovered from the spot.
