Caleb Harrison, 40, was found dead in his home on Aug. 23, 2013 — the third death to occur in the family residence at 3635 Pitch Pine Cres. Fattore alone is charged with the second-degree murder of Bill Harrison, who died at home one year before his wife. Fattore testified that he struck Caleb in the chest with a baseball bat while he was sleeping, hoping that would “stun” him so he could rough him up. Fattore said he only told Merritt later. Fattore told police Merritt had nothing to do with the crimes, and that he only told her about them after the fact.
