Berry allegedly molested a boy he met through the South Canterbury Olympic Wrestling Club between January 1 and April 1, 2019. A Timaru wrestling coach accused of indecently assaulting a child has been granted bail after an appeal to the High Court. The High Court in Christchurch upheld 56-year-old Peter Charles Berry's application to overturn District Court Judge Kevin Phillips' decision to remand him in custody. He was released on bail on Friday, after 31 days in custody. It is alleged he met the boy through the wrestling club and the incidents were between January 1 and April 1, 2019.
