Allegations of leadership abuses at Trillium Health Partners trigger independent probe by province

The province will appoint an independent investigator to examine complaints of abuse of power by hospital leadership at Trillium Health Partners, the Star has learned. The claims are being strongly disputed by the hospital system and its leadership, who say they welcome the third-party review. In a statement to the Star, THP said an internal review of the complaints conducted earlier this year could not substantiate the claims. THP is the largest community hospital system in Ontario and includes Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital and the Queensway Health Centre. The anonymous group of physicians alleges physicians leave THP due to the administration’s tactics.
