File: The pair statue of Tjay and Naya. ‎‏The pair statue of Tjay and Naya is a great example of “couple statues” from Dynasty 18 (New Kingdom Period). ‎‏It represents the seated Tjay and his wife Naya, wearing fine clothes and elaborate wigs. Naya’s right hand is affectionately placed on her husband’s shoulder. ‎‏The back of the statue contains reliefs of the couple sitting in front of an offering table.
