According to Henry Osei Akoto, one of the organizers of the #DumsorMustStop vigil, the police and the organizers have agreed on the date and the route for the demonstration. The organizers of the demonstration were forced to change the date, venue, and route of the protest after an injunction by the Ghana Police Service. The demonstration, which was initially set for May 25, 2024, at Revolution Square near the Jubilee House, has been postponed to June 8, 2024. The revised timing for the vigil is from 2 pm to 10 pm, a shift from the originally planned 8 am start.
