All departments of Haryana will be linked with the e-market portal of the central government to ensure transparency in procurement of goods and services and check corruption, state Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain said here today. Other departments of the state will soon be linked with this portal, she said in an official release. According to Jain, this portal is a better option for direct procurement of goods valued up to Rs 30 lakh. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the government e-market portal under the Digital India campaign to provide a single platform for procurement of goods and services required by departments. This portal will ensure direct reach of sellers to all departments of the government and these will not have to waste time in checking tenders of other departments," she said.
