Miah informed the media of the measure after an inspection of the Dhakeshwari Temple on Monday, prior to the start of Durga Puja. “All Puja pavilions in Dhaka will be monitored by CCTV cameras,” the Dhaka police chief said. There are a total of 231 temples in Dhaka city. Areas of worship have been classified according to security priority, Miah said. The Dhanmondi Puja Pavilion, the Ramkrishna Mission Puja Pavilion, the Dhakeshwari Puja Pavilion and the Gulshan-Banani Puja Pavilion are in the highest security category.
