Algerian club Setif thrown out of African Champions League

CAIRO (AP) " Algerian club Entente Setif has been thrown out of the African Champions League for fan trouble that caused a game to be called off and left spectators and security officials injured. Setif is a seven-time Algerian champion and the Champions League winner in 2014. The Confederation of African Football disqualified the two-time African champion following the problems near the end of last weekend's game against Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa. Tournament rules call for the home club to be kicked out if a game is stopped because of fan violence. Sundowns made it through to the group stage only after Congo's AS Vita was disqualified for an ineligible player.
