Twenty workers were injured when a bus rolled over on Tuesday evening after it collided with a truck west of Alexandria, according to Al-Watan newspaper website. Ambulances transferred the injured to al-Amereya Hospital and the al-Amiriya al-Gamei Hospital. A source with Health Affairs Directorate specified that 19 of the injured workers were transferred to Amereya Hospital, while one went to Amiriya al-Gamei. Egypt loses roughly 12,000 lives to traffic accidents every year. The country has a road traffic fatality rate of 42 deaths per 100,000 population, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
